PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that CONSOL Mining Company LLC, doing business at CNX Center, 1000 CONSOL Energy Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317, has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Mining and Reclamation, for the purpose of requesting bond release on Coal Mining Activity Permit Reclamation, for the purpose of requesting bond release on Coal Mining Activity Permit #03801302.nnThe operation, known as the Margaret #7 Mine Water Treatment Plant, is located in Plumcreek and Cowanshannock Townships, Armstrong County. The Margaret #7 Mine Water Treatment Plant consists of 26.2 surface site acres. The amount of reclamation bond currently held on Coal Mining Activity Permit #03801302 is $2,634,271. This completion request is for excess reclamation bond release at the Margaret #7 Mine Water Treatment Plant due to the posting of a separate Long Term Water Treatment Bond of $2,969,009 in 2009. The estimated reclamation liability to remain is described as follows: $2,532 for structures, $134,996 for surface areas, and $13,979 for mine openings, totaling $151,506. Therefore, this completion report is for a total of $2,482,765.nnThis bond release is requested pursuant to 4(d) of the Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act of May 31, 1945, P.L. 1198, as amended. Section 4(d) of the act requires this notice be inserted in one newspaper of general circulation in the area once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks. This section of the Act also allows any person who has interest, which may be adversely affected by the bond release to object to this bond release by filing a written objection to it within thirty (30) days from the date of the final publication notice.nnA copy of the application is available for public inspection and copying for a fee, by appointment at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, California District Office, 25 Technology Drive, California Technology Park, Coal Center, PA 15423, Telephone: 724-769-1100 between regular business hours.
